In 2014, the topic of the National Leadership Symposium was “Leadership Competencies from Research to Results” with several scholars and practitioners coming together to learn strategies to integrate leadership competency development and measurement in their programs and courses.
Each participant was given a copy of “The Student Leadership Competencies Guidebook” as a resource and was asked to develop a competency project in small groups that included competency setting, curriculum development, facilitation, and competency measurement.
